Arriving at the City Marina in St. Augustine, you are less than a step from the splendor of the oldest city in America. St. Augustine is known as the “Ancient City,” and offers a delightful historical district with cobblestone streets, and significant historical landmarks such as the Castillo de San Marcos, an outstanding reminder of the Spanish empire alongside picturesque Matanzas Bay; and the well preserved Fort Matanzas which was built in 1742.
Tour Flagler College then see the former world-class resort that was built over 100 years ago. Shop till you drop on the cobblestone streets and experience the reenactment of the founders with a “dip in the Fountain of Youth.” With St. Augustine’s 43 miles of pristine beaches, the perfect romantic get-away is in your reach.
Why not take an evening Ghost Walk and a Saturday night Pub-Crawl. You can sleep in Sunday or visit one of the city’s many historic churches after a custom breakfast on the sun deck.

St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum offers experiences for visitors of all ages. Climb 219 steps up the historic lighthouse for a breathtaking view of St. Augustine and the ocean. Museum exhibits include the Keepers’ House and basement, a WWII Coast Guard Barracks with art exhibits, and the Maritime Education Center and Archaeology Lab.
Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park Walk the site of America’s First Colony – the actual site of the first 1565 Menendez settlement! Located on 15 acres of waterfront, the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park is Florida’s oldest attraction. Take in the sounds of real cannon fire. Drink from Ponce De Leon’s Spring of Eternal Hope. Stop by and take a look at the Living History Timucua Village. Experience the reconstructed 1587 Mission Church of Nombre de Dios.

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument has been closely intertwined with the city and the neighboring structures of St. Augustine, which served as the city’s outer defenses – Fort Mose to the north and Fort Matanzas to the south. The Castillo and the town serve as outstanding reminders of the might of the early Spanish empire in the New World. Numerous historic events have taken place here, including the imprisonment of Seminole tribe leader Chief Osceola after he was captured in 1837. Constructed with the use of coquina shells, the fort is virtually indestructible – limestone comprised of broken sea shells and coral, the walls of the fortress remained impenetrable during 300 years of enemy shelling and pounding by violent storms.
The Nights of Lights dazzles town as some 3 million lights adorn each corner of the historic district for 2 months. The festival traces its origin to the Spanish tradition of displaying a white candle in the window during the Christmas holidays. This lights show runs from November twenty three, 2019, to Groundhog Day, 2020, in historic St. Augustine throughout the seasonal show, downtown businesses keeps open later, The trains and trolleys supply special seasonal tours that take you thru the simplest areas, and there are a spread of specialty tours — everything from walking to horse-and-carriage tours.
